I am a resource support Mama with the organization Nourri-Source. I had extremely trying times breastfeeding not one but both of my babies. As 'natural' as breastfeeding is, it is NOT easy. But, I was warmly taken under the wings of this wonderful organization and was supported through the rough bouts of breastfeeding.... the engorgement, the poor latch, the cracked nipples, the flu-like symptoms of mastitis... and I am now a proud volunteer because I came through the other side. I feel so passionate about breastfeeding that I am more than happy to give my time over to new moms and dads to, at the very least, let them know it does get better, it does get easier and that one day, you will wake up and wonder why you ever had any issues breastfeeding at all.

Every year the Quintessence Foundation holds a world wide Breastfeeding Challenge to gather support and grow the awareness of the amazing health benefits of breastfeeding. This year I was honoured to volunteer my time to capture the event that was held at Melons & Clementines on  October 4th. We had 38 babies latched on simultaneously which will be recorded in the worldwide results on the Quintessence Foundation page.
